I am so proud to announce this… I am a tone or two darker already and hoping to get darker… I am in a dilemma on one hand I am loving this place and I wan to be here for good yet on another hand I miss some people in Singapore but not the place… I loaded some pics… but it takes very long to load everything… so I will load them when I am back.. am at the airport now waiting for my dad to arrive… I want to be in Bangkok for good and go back to Singapore occasionally…
my dad is arrival means that i have to be back to singapore really soon but i wan to be here for good...

Today is already 2nd June…

first house hotel room...my new hairstyle....

Everything seems to have gone pretty fast for me every since Tuesday…in fact so fast that I did not even realise that it is already Saturday today and I will be back home in another 11 days… I love this place a lot more than I my first day here… haha… when did I ever not like this place right? I really did hated this place during this trip on my first 3 days here when I am totally not used to the place and a lot of things happening still I know that I still had a long time here and I am bored here stuck in somewhere that I am not even sure where I am… not that I have got used to the place and learn new things it is really fun… it doesn’t matter even when there is no internet… I practically spend my whole day out…the hotel tat I am staying now is a road across the “little India” here and a few streets away from china town… I have learn how to take the train and I was caught surprise when I slot in the money to buy the train ticket… expecting something similar to ez-link or a card sort of thing to drop out but out came a small black chip… anyway my conclusion is that it is cheaper and more worth it to take taxi than to take train if u match the below 4 criteria
travelling with 3 or more people
not staying near any MRTA or BTS station
lazy to walk
your destination is super near where you are

Why did I say that?
To travel to somewhere far about 30mins of travelling time on car with or without traffic jam will cost you about 100 to 150 and that’s the max… if you travel by train its abt 39 per person… 156 already for 4 person consider that you still have to walk like for 10 minutes from where you are to the train station and again 10 minutes from the train station to where you want to go… and for my case it was worst because the hotel is not near the train station and I still need to take a bus which cost abt 7 dollar… so if there is 4 person travelling it will cost 184 already…. Which really doesn’t makes a lot of differences from travelling on taxi…considering that there is much more comfort much lesser walking and hassle to be travelling on taxi… just that you need to be careful on taking taxi… lots of trickster around especially when they know you are foreigner…

My last Friday to this Monday sucks… shifting around, being threaten and stuff… and all thanks to my powerfully stingy dad we ended in a super deep alley hotel on Friday night… shifted to a temple on the very next day… and threaten by the taxi driver… stayed in the temple for 2 days… which I din even dare to go out of my room because of the stay dogs and cats roaming around so dun even talk abt leaving the temple… called my dad and complain and rally my younger brother to make a fuss to persuade my mum to shift to hotel so we were there only for 2 days… then we went to our God father house on mon which we din stay because it was a little better than the temple but still cannot make it lah… maybe I have been living in luxury and I am too pampered…

On Tuesday I went MBK, Siam Discovery Centre, Siam centre, Siam Paragon, World Trade Centre (now known as central zen r something… cant remember already) and Big C…. all this places are actually very near to each other within walking distance if you shop according to the sequence listed above… from MBK Tokoyu you cross over the bridge and that would be discovery… discovery is connected to siam centre by a link way… and Siam centre is beside Siam Paragon… world trade centre is 10 min walk away from paragon and Big C a road across world trade… anyway if u intend to buy cheap stuff u can forget discovery, Siam centre paragon and world trade… Big C is a one stop place for everything something like Carrefour…. Anyway I went there just for foot massage and to eat… I dun need anything from that place… but when I left tat place I realise that the Watson there sells Tiffa products… yippe… dun need to go to Taiwan, Hong Kong or Japan to get Tiffa stuffs… I think it should be more expensive than Taiwan but cheaper than Hong Kong… thinking of going back there next week to get the lip gloss and face powder tat I use… running out of supplies but no one helping me to get from Taiwan…

Went kao san road on wed, then to suan nam luan and to “little india”… kao san road is a street where lots of Eurasian and Caucasian like to stay in… wholesale place for silver accessories… sells lots of beach wears, fake adidas jacket and local handicraft… lots of hostel and coffee house… all catered for the ang mohs…. Wednesday was judgement day for Thailand political parties… riot was expected to take place so all the 3 places were tight in security… the “court” deciding the judgement was at “little india” 2 min walk from hotel… anyway the judgement was so sian lah… they spend the whole day reading out the judgement by 12 judges… and they took turns 1 by 1 to read… so the session started at 2.30pm and it ended around 1am… and all the tv channel in Bangkok was showing on the judgement… ZZzzzz…. Suan nam luan is equivalent to our padang…. The place usually had pasar malam but due to Vesak day the place had lots of stall setup for donations and story of Buddhism and some celebration stuff… and now it is converted for rallies and riots already… somehow the judgement was out and thai rak thai was dissolved… the supporters and politicians are unhappy so they are doing it there… and I heard from vena that because of this unhappiness the securities for entry into Bangkok from other provinces are tight now…

I went to suan lum night bazaar on thurdays night… super big with super expensive things… and then I took my first train ride in bangkok when I went back to hotel… well, the mrta station was quite far from hotel… about 20 min walk… and it was quite scary to walk back at night when the there is no people in the streets… and when I walk past this alley to china town (it was the only way to go to get back to the hotel) i was being followed by a drug addict or perhaps drunkard… then it was still quite crowded at china town so it was quite alrite… I walk super fast to china town and he quit following me after a while because of the crowd….

Went to visit Girls’ Brigade Thailand yesterday…it was an eye opener for me… Vena the HQ personnel was nice to drive me from hotel… she brought me to GBTHQ… expected it to be something similar to GBC in Singapore or much spacious yet to my surprise it was just a tiny little office lots of things inside and desk for the staff…lol… lets not complain abt GBC anymore… then we went over to this GB company that was in the slump area… they are in area so poor that there is not even a space for the to run their activities and their activities are ran in the open space “some deserted area in the slump”… I brought some coloring and English materials over which I intend to give it out as prize for the company girls that I am visiting but vena told me the company is set up in a bilingual school which means they are rich so I decided to bless this particular company instead… next we went to 1st company… the place is more better than Stamford primary I would say… haha… and miss eng was correct… they are more high tech than we are… most of the girls were on bilingual program and spoke good English… lots of foreigner among the girls… had really fun time playing with them and they were all very friendly… amazed at the energy of all the officers… they run GB in tat company from Tuesday to Friday just to cater to the needs of the girls of different age group… then we drop by a school started by a Singaporean couple anglo Singapore international school just to say hello to the girls there and I met 5 singaporean in GBT… cute little girls and all of them have been staying in Bangkok for really long… 6 years and above….

And for today, I went to chatuchak….
It gets quite confusing after a while… there is total of 3 places in that area… jatuchak plaza, JJ mall and chatuchak market…
JJ mall is relatively new with air con… comfy to shop in but the things are much more expensive compared to those outside… you are actually paying for the comfort and air conditioning… jatuchak plaza is a massive pasar malam with some structures for the shops and it is opened daily and it sells everything under the sun… from fishes to dogs to hamster to furniture to clothes to books to food… you name it they have it… chatuchak market is similar to jatuchak plaza in the things they sell except the structure and some other stuff like it only exist on weekend and as you shop in the market you will be honked and there will be cars moving around the road… and I saw something interesting but I got no hand to capture it down… brought too much things already… this family of 5 brought lots of stuff and there is 3 kids… the kids were too tired to walk… so they paid some stall holder and a push cart was provided to put the 3 kids in plus their shopping bags and this man will just push and follow them wherever they move…
Now that I remember I went to Old Siam as well to had Macdonalds for breakfast… I had samura burger… it’s a pork teriyaki burger… paid 90 dollars after upsizing it… about 4.50 SGD…. You will never get to eat that in Singapore not just because of the price but also because its PORK….
And I had dinner there as well at Swensen but they only serve ice cream… so had bananas spilt cause I can read thai and I cant figure out if they have sticky chewy chocolate… all the chocolate ice cream on the picture looks the same… I can only recognise bananas split and fire house happy birthday… wasn’t full after tat and went over to my favourite noodle stall… it is a stall by the road setup only during the evening time… have been eating tat for dinner for 3 days consecutively already… only cost abt 1 SGD…

It is Sunday today….
Anyway I just realise that I have been sleeping really early and waking up early as well ever since I was here…sleeping around 12 am… which is only local time 11 plus… I usually sleeps at 2am earliest… and hey I woke up at 8am…. 7am local time… having 8 hrs of sleep daily and I eat breakfast daily… amazed with myself… I usually wake up around noon time and I only eat lunch even if I wake up early I never had the eat breakfast….
There is some riot taking place yesterday near the hotel…. That was what my mum said… I wasn’t around to see the riot… actually I wont call it riot lah… she was saying there is some gathering of ppl and rioting but I think it is just the protesting by the supporter of a political party… anyway I dun think it is fun to see such things lah… I am a typical Singaporean kiasee… what if they suddenly turn violent…
After much search over the days I finally got the Tiffa products that I wanted thou still lack of the glitter eye liner… I went to Watson at china town but certain products I want was missing and I din wan to buy because I wanted to accumulate enough money to get the nice free gift…. When on to old Siam to find again this time they have the lip gloss but no powder… again I nv buy… I tot big C will have so I went there today… also because I wanted to go patunam to shop lah… I haven’t shop at the wholesales centre there yet except platinum mall… ended up playing arcade instead and shopping at Siam Centre and discovery centre… well, all because it started to rain and the whole road is flooded and very disgusting lah… I din get my Tiffa stuff at big C as well… they say Tiffa is only available in bigger shops… sad… I dun really care I just wanted to buy Tiffa stuff when I am alone so no one can restrict my spending and I remember tat there is a Watson at discovery centre… so I walk over there… as I walk over.. hehe… I saw Royce chocolate and being glutton and having crave for chocolate I brought… anyway for ur information the normal chocolate here sucks… they taste like the cheap chocolate sold in Singapore but they are not cheap… Mao it is cheaper to buy Royce chocolate in Hong Kong than in Bangkok…
The discovery centre’s Watson never fails me and did not waste my energy for walking over… it has almost all that I wanted and the sales girl was so nice… I am supposed to be getting the makeup bag as free gift but she gave me the umbrella… supposed to spend about 100 SGD to get that whereas 50 SGD to get the makeup bag… the umbrella was a better gift… remember it was raining….
I sms a few ppl to ask abt certain Tiffa stuff… but none has replied me… haha… too bad… if you were to reply me I would have ask if you wanted me to help you buy… anyway wenz I realise u were not in singapore to see my sms… and u replied me but still it is too late… if i do see it I will help u buy lah… the lotion u want is only found in the Watson at discovery centre…

A suddenly switch of emotion today from the previous days…
Woke up feeling sick so din want go out and I got no ideal where I want to go… just wanted to go dream world with my family… after so many days of walking my legs hurts…

I went downstairs to buy food from the hawker next door and I went to buy contact lenses from the optical shop next stall as well… what an idiot I am… I forgot to bring an extra pair of contacts and there is a tear in my contacts… the contacts lenses is ex here… when I went down I realise today is Monday because everyone is in yellow… it is funny lah because everyone is in the same clothing… so when u go into the shop and buy things u dunno who is working there and who the customers are…

Today is already 6th june… my dad will be coming over to Bangkok tml and it also means I am going back in another week time… finally got over that gloomy down feeling… I am not sick anymore after resting on for 2 days… kinda consider 2 days lah… I spend my yesterday morning sleeping in the hotel and the afternoon roaming around big C and playing games while waiting for my mum and brother to appear… went big C because my mum says she wants to go T-restaurant to eat and that is one of my favourite restaurant with my every loving fried garlic squid….i am food driven or else I would rather stay at home… my 2 adorable finally arrive while I was playing bejewels… it was still quite early so we went over to central world to do some shopping… I never realise central world was that huge… the last 2 time i went past there was like just making use of it as a stepping stone to move to other places and it was a fast walk thru the building so I tot it is not that big…. It is bigger than vivo city and people who went vivo city with me before will noe what happen… yes I was lost inside central world and I dunno how to get out and had to call my mum to come and look for me… so throw face… went to take bus to T-Restaurant… a few pairs of shoes caught my eye outside central world and I brought 2 pairs of shoes… looking for the stall where I brought my slippers but could not find… guess I was too early… it was the first time I took BTS (sky train) in Bangkok yesterday… prefer MTRA to BTS…. BTS was super crowded still it is expensive furthermore the train near hotel is a MTRA not BTS… Went Silom today… it is the business cum red light district… and I brought another pair of shoes there from Robinson… Store wide 50% sales…. The shoe is so cute… it has the face of a rat… if u see me wearing it dun laugh at me… wenz, Robinson also got sell Tiffa but dun have the lotion… spent the rest of the day playing pokemon with my brother in the hotel… I think my dad will be scolding me when we go airport to fetch him tml… I have been using the credit card so much till I cannot remember how much I spend already… saw a pair of nike sneakers for bryan at Tokuyu also using his credit card… the make up, chocolate clothings…. Lol… I can imagine what he will tell me tml… I am going to deduct money from you… haha… anyway not studying anymore… he is not giving me allowance so there is nthing for him to deduct… summary of the things I have brought… 8 tops, 4 pairs of shoes, 1 pair of slipper a bag and a shades… I think I am buying another pair of slipper… that should be all… wanted to buy bottoms are hard to buy when u squeeze with ppl and dun get to try… there is really a lot of things to buy but my cash is running low and also I dun like shopping in places where it is super crowded u just get pushed out the streets even before u get to see what is inside dun even talk about choosing what u want and buy…

somewhere at the river... near the temple i stay...
